Beautiful Weather and a Dilemma

We FINALLY have Spring weather in Jena! It seems like the entire time we have been here, it has been rainy, cold, and blah. But the past few days (and the next 10 days according to MSN weather) it has been sunny and in the 60's! GORGEOUS!

The problem I am having is that I didn't think about Spring when I packed. I don't have anything to wear! I bought a couple of things at the H&M in town, but the Euro to dollar is so bad right now, I can't justify buying much more when we are going home in 2 weeks. Oh well! If you see me and I am wearing the same two or three things everyday, you will know why. Haha!

Nathan is starting to spin when he is doing his tummy time. He is also trying to push up on his knees! I have a feeling we will have a crawler in the next month or so. He's growing up WAY too fast! Everyone is going to be very surprised when they see him. I knew kids grew up quickly, but it really does seem like yesterday when he was a little limp noodle that laid around all day!

A Day Late

Ooops! I meant to post this yesterday...

Happy 7 Month Birthday, Nathan!

It is amazing how much time has gone by! My little man is growing up too quickly. His personality grows a little bit more everyday.

Impromptu Trip to Prague

The cool thing about living in Europe is the variety of places you can visit in a weekend! We decided to take our friend Chris to Prague late Sunday night and we spent all day Monday there. It was fabulous. If you ever get the opportunity to go, you must! It is unbelievable!!!!

Honestly, it makes me want to see a lot more in the United States!

Chris's Visit

Our friend Chris is here visiting! We have been lucky enough to have a lot of friends and family be able to come to Germany during the season. It has made being away from home so much easier. We've been eating out and visiting the town, mostly. Brendan has a game tomorrow night and on Sunday! Lets hope for two wins! :)

Brendan and Chris are going to see the Buchenwald Concentration Camp on Saturday (as I have been 5 times and will stay home this round!) and then we are going to attempt to go to Berlin on Monday. I really love that city! I am typically not a city person, but something about it is nice. I'm not intimidated and it is very easy to navigate. Not to mention the amazing history that it holds! I'm looking forward to going back.

Something that this experience has given me is a will to travel and explore. I was always scared to even go into a restaurant I wasn't familiar with and now we just pop in places and do our best with a menu written in German! I honestly do not think that I would have left the country if it hadn't been a must the first time. Now that I have, I feel like I can go and do anything! What a wonderful gift!

My Buddy Came to Town

My buddy from Charlotte came to visit! We had a BALL! We visited Berlin and went around town. It was so nice to see her! Here are a few pictures from her visit.

Oh, and the count down begins! We OFFICIALLY come home on May 16th (they changed the date on it).

Nathan Lost His Duck Tail

So, Brendan and I noticed the other night that Nathan's little duck tail of baby hair fell out! It makes me so sad because that was the last of his baby hair and now he has big boy blonde hair coming in. :( I never thought hair would make me all sentimental! Haha!

He really is growing like a weed. Since we have begun solids, I think he has gained 10 lbs! I guess we will find out when we go to the doctor on the 22nd for a well check-up!

I'm really excited because my good friend Sandy is coming to visit! As I write this, she is actually on the train to Jena! We are thinking about visitng Berlin on Monday and I will take her to the concentration camp nearby. I will make sure to take a lot of pictures and post them! I went to Berlin with Nathan (Brendan couldn't go) with my family when they visited, but I would like to go again. Especially since it is a little warmer! Just ask my mom, dad, or sister about that one! FREEZING in January!
